Re-Grow Swiss Chard

Regrow Swiss Chard

What a cutie! It’s like something out of Barbie’s garden! I bought one bunch of Swiss chard at the farmer’s market, and after cutting the end off, I remembered that I once grew celery from a store-bought plant end. My cousin Jenny grows Swiss chard every year, and said she cuts the leaves, and it just keeps growing back. She can hardly keep up with the harvest from just a few plants. I wanted to grow some after hearing this, so I got to thinking – – why buy a plant when I could possibly make use of what I already have? So I put the end in water, and in a couple of days the Swiss chard started growing right on my kitchen counter. I’m going to plant this in soil, and hopefully it will continue to grow. Waste not, want not.
