Insulated Water Bottle Carrier

Because I carry a purse, I get stuck carrying everyone’s bottles of water. Four bottles of water means my shoulder ends up aching, and it’s just a bummer to have to carry it all. Then I have to get it out of my purse, and give it to the kids or husband, then put it back again. I found a way to beat the system after coming across a blog http://www.pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/2006/07/10/whiplash-challenge-water-bottle-carrier/  that shows how to make a insulated water bottle holder with a strap. Yup. They have carry their own water now. Well, the husband won’t wear one, so at least I’m down to only carrying two bottles.

The lining is Insulbrite and does a superb job of keeping your water cold. This project is also a good way to use up leftover fabric. Mix and match the fabrics to make it fun. Customize the size of the strap for each person so it will carry comfortably. And if you have an embroidery machine, you can stitch names on them too!

for hubby, make same water bottle holder with one change: belt loops. He can carry his own water on belt and not have to have straps, you only carry your own water.

I agree with Linda O – make hubby carry his own. Use more masculine fabric if need be.
